The University of Parma is proud to announce an important innovation enriching the educational offering of its Healthcare Post-Graduate programmes within the Department of Medicine and Surgery: the introduction of an English-language workshop in each program’s curriculum.
As highlighted by Prof. Antonio Bonacaro:
“This initiative stems from the desire to offer our students a learning experience from an international perspective, in a multicultural and multiethnic context. The goal is to develop specific language skills directly connected to the scope of practice cultivated in each program.”
Why an English-language workshop?
Although delivered in Italian, the Healthcare Master programs at the University of Parma aim to prepare professionals capable of addressing the challenges of an increasingly globalized healthcare sector.
The introduction of these workshops offers students:
• An immersive learning experience to acquire and refine professional healthcare terminology in English;
• An international training context that fosters openness to collaboration with foreign institutions;
• An added value to their professional profile, essential in an ever-evolving healthcare and social landscape.
These workshops will be led by Prof. Michela Canepari, Rector’s Delegate for Language Training, who stated:
