Description

The Post-Graduate Programme in Educational strategies in social and health care; European standards and innovation is designed to prepare professionals to manage and lead educational processes in academic and professional settings. Participants will gain expertise in developing teaching resources, defining effective delivery methods, and implementing comprehensive assessment strategies for students and overall educational quality.

 

The course is structured to develop the following core competencies:

  • Design innovative and personalized educational pathways tailored to the evolving needs of social and health sectors.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methodologies and manage processes for continuous improvement in educational quality.
  • Utilize new technologies to design and implement blended and distance learning activities, enhancing accessibility and flexibility.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective problem-solving.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including students, colleagues, and institutional representatives, to ensure alignment and support for educational goals.
  • Solve complex problems and make informed, strategic decisions within the educational context to drive excellence and innovation.

Teaching approach

The Master’s in Educational Strategies in the Social and Health Sectors employs a thematic and interactive teaching methodology. This approach combines theoretical lessons, laboratories, seminars, and group work, ensuring that participants gain both conceptual understanding and hands-on experience.

The programme addresses key areas essential for educational leadership and innovation in social and health contexts:

  • Principles of Adult Education:

Explore learner-centered approaches, including classroom training, simulation lab training, operational context training, and e-learning methodologies.

  • European Standards in Education:

Learn about standards for training needs analysis, curriculum design, and experiential evaluation as defined by European frameworks.

  • WHO and EU Recommendations:

Incorporate guidance from the WHO Multi-Professional Patient Safety Curriculum and European Union recommendations into educational practices.

  • Experiential Laboratories:

Participate in labs that focus on relational and ethical situations, reflective practices, and critical thinking to address real-world challenges.

  • Innovative Learning Strategies:

Master advanced methods such as:

  • Situated Learning: Context-based learning for real-world application.
  • Reflective Learning: Encouraging deep thinking and self-evaluation.
  • Case Study Discussions: Engaging with practical scenarios to develop problem-solving skills.
  • Bedside Training: Hands-on learning in clinical settings.
  • Competence Portfolio Development: Documenting and reflecting on skill acquisition.
  • Storytelling and Autobiography: Using narratives to foster engagement and understanding.
  • Research Methodology:

Build a strong foundation in research techniques to evaluate and innovate educational practices.

Internships are conducted in research institutions, universities, and IRCCS (Scientific Institutes for Research, Hospitalisation, and Healthcare). Participants will actively engage in research projects under the guidance of experienced researchers.

The final examination involves developing a research project (Project Work) on topics relevant to the programme. The research will culminate in the writing and defence of a thesis, supported by a research-experienced tutor.

Attendance mode

Lessons are delivered synchronously online, with occasional in-person meetings that can also be attended remotely.

75% attendance of online educational activities and 100% completion of internship hours are mandatory.

Classes are held on Mondays and Tuesdays every other week, excluding summer and Christmas breaks.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Post-Graduate Programme in Direction of Infection Control Services requires candidates to meet the following qualifications by the application deadline:

  • Second-Level Degree: a degree obtained under D.M. No. 509/99 or D.M. No. 270/04 in the fields of health and social professions.
  • Second-Level Degree in Related Disciplines: degrees in psychology, anthropology, sociology, pedagogy, or other humanistic disciplines are eligible.
  • Pre-Reform Degrees: degrees obtained under pre-reform regulations (D.M. No. 509/99) that are deemed equivalent to the qualifications listed above, as per D.I. July 9, 2009.
  • Equivalent Foreign Qualifications: degrees issued abroad that are recognized as suitable under current regulations by the Executive Committee for course registration purposes.

A maximum of 10 auditors is allowed. For additional information, consult the admission notice.

Programme Cost: €3,016.00, payable in two instalments:

  • First instalment: €1,516.00 upon enrolment.
  • Second instalment: €1,500.00 by June 30, 2025.

Fee for Auditors: €2,000.00 (inclusive of legally required stamp duties).
